Tom Tom Founders Festival is a week of music, art, and innovation in Downtown Charlottesville, April 13 - 19. The Festival features over 150 bands and artists alongside some of the world's most innovative entrepreneurs.
The Festival begins on Monday, April 13th with a birthday bash for Thomas Jefferson, and continues through the week with pitch competitions, a Songwriter Night, and concerts.
On Friday, April 17th, Tom Tom hosts the Founders Summit. Featuring the founders like Alexis Ohanian of reddit, the Founders Summit is a daylong exploration into the art of entrepreneurship at The Paramount Theater. Afterwards, Friday Night’s block party features hip hop, funk, and soul from members of Thievery Corporation and Baltimore's native son Bosley.
The following morning, April 18th, begins at the Farmer's Market with Picnic Day, expanding to Lee Park and multiple venues Downtown with avant-garde performances, an outdoor art market, craft beer from two dozen Virginia breweries, psychedelic rock, an R&B marching band, demos by student inventors from over ten universities, and much more. After Picnic Day, the night continues with a Mardi Gras style JazzFest on Second Street and rap at The Annex.
The Festival concludes on Sunday, April 19th with the Belmont Block Party and Porchella Afterparty.
Admission Fee: Tom Tom Founders Festival is totally free with the exception of the Founders Summit, a day of talks on Friday, April 17.
