Activate Martinsville Henry County and the YMCA have partnered with Rooster Walk 4 to offer Tuff Strutter 5K, a rugged trail run. RW5 is a Music and Arts Festival that will feature more than 30 bands playing a variety of musical genres and funds the Penn-Shank Memorial Scholarship at Martinsville High School. The rugged 5K course will challenge runners as they compete on the wooded trails that surround the festival venue. Steep climbs and descents will be common in this race.

Tuff Strutter registration cost includes a festival ticket to 11 bands playing on Sunday. Registrants who buy a separate ticket to the festival will pay just $15 each to compete in the Tuff Strutter or $20 the day of the race. All runners will receive a commemorative Rooster Walk Tuff Strutter edition Klean Kanteen steel pint cup, access to an aid station on the trail and post-race food.

Awards unique to Tuff Strutter will be given to the top three overall male and female participants. Prizes will also be awarded in numerous age group categories. A series of free, group trail runs to help runners prepare for the Tuff Strutter are being offered in May.

Admission Fee: $25 in advance, $30 day of race
