The Virginia Lovers' Gourd Society is proud to host their 12th Annual Gourd Festival.  This is a unique marketplace for anyone enjoying folk art and learning from the artisans themselves as to how to create it.  Special attractions include an Auction of Gourd Art; gourd crafting classes at very reasonable prices (sign up in advance is recommended to help the instructors prepare materials); a place to buy craft-ready gourds from several gourd suppliers; and a place to buy completed original gourd art - all happening at a farm market, where most food is made from produce grown or raised within 500 feet of the market itself!
