Historic Ashwood School was built in 1908 as a high school until 1927 then was an elementary school until 1969. This was the first commercial school built in Bath County. Restored in 1908 back to the orginial school floor plan and is now a retail antique store and museum. On display in the museum are artifacts such as: coins, marbles, dishes, ink wells,bats, balls, pocket knives, books, and desk from archeoglogy digs from the school grounds. For sale in the retail antique store are items such as: furniture, primitive cupboards,vintage textiles, farm tables, chairs, architectural items,antique books, glass and American made folk art by folk artist Pat Broyles owner of the antique store. We are located 2 miles south of the beautiful Homestead Resort.
