Civil War History Comes Alive at Tom's Brook, South of Strasburg and West of the Old Valley Pike (US11) in this small community of Fisher's Hill. Here on September 22, 1864, Federal forces, under the command of Major General Philip Sheridan, attached the Confederates of Lt. General Jubal Early.

The Hottel-Keller Homestead sits in the northern half of the main Shenandoah Valley near the hamlet of Mt. Olive. In late September and early October of 1864 the homestead property was directly in the line of the campaign of destruction undertaken by Union forces under the command of Major General Philip H. Sheridan.

Enjoy your visit as this is only one of the stops along the Wilderness Road in Shenandoah County!
