The Chesterfield Historical Society of Virginia is a 501(C)3 organization whose mission is to preserve, interpret and promote Chesterfield County history. The Historical Society is governed by a 15 member Board of Directors. The Society provides the county with exhibits in several sites, Magnolia Grange, a beautiful 1822 plantation house, the Chesterfield County Museum, and the 1814 Castlewood, site of our research library and offices. The Society promotes 7 Bermuda Hundred Campaign, Civil War sites located in the County; Drewry's Bluff, Point of Rocks, Battery Dantzler, Bermuda Hundred, Parker's Battery, Ft.Wead, Ft. Stevens.
