Jefferson Vineyards is located on Thomas Jefferson's and Philip Mazzei's 1774 vineyard sites, just one mile south of Monticello. This is also where Virginia's first commercial wine company was founded, with Jefferson's backing. We enjoy what Wine Spectator calls "...the region's most consistent track record." Our tasting room is open 7 days a week, year round. Tasting fee is $10 per person and includes a Riedel souvenir tasting glass. Ten to eleven wines are sampled. Shaded deck area with tables and chairs is available for picnicking, with full gourmet lunches available from our neighbour, SALT, just across from the entrance to the winery grounds. Winery tours are generally given on the hour at noon, 1pm and 2pm. Gifts, clothing and wine related items are also available in the tasting room.
Admission Fee: Ten or eleven wines tasted for a fee of $10. You get to keep a high end Riedel wine glass
