In 1981, the Warren Heritage Society established an archives to house the Society's growing collection of archival materials. In January 1985, the collection was moved to a new facility which was dedicated on October 9, 1988 and named for Laura Virginia Hale whose life-long collection of local history was added to the existing material. The archives contain materials relating to local history from early settlement to the present. The Laura Virginia Hale Archives office is open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and is housed in the rear building behind the Warren Heritage Society's Ivy Lodge Museum and Gift Shop.
