Lee Hall Mansion is an Italianate mansion constructed circa 1850 by wealthy planter Richard Decauter Lee. Now restored to its pre-Civil War splendor, the home served as a Confederate headquarters during the 1862 Peninsula Campaign. Guided tours. Peninsula Campaign exhibit gallery featuring Monitor artifacts, drawings, sidearms and presentation firearms. Gift shop. From January 1- March 31 the mansion will be open Thursday-Saturday 10am-4pm & Sunday 12-5pm. From April 1- December 31 Lee Hall will be open Monday, Thursday-Friday 10am-4pm, Saturday 10am-5pm & Sunday 12-5pm. Located at Exit 247 off I-64, just minutes from Colonial Williamsburg, Carter's Grove and all Newport News attractions.
