The Mosby Heritage Area is 1,600 sq mile area in Loudoun, Fauquier, Clarke, Warren and Prince William Counties in the northern Piedmont of Virginia. The MHA distributes 4 historic driving tour brochures: Drive through History along Rt 50; Historic Route 17 through the Crooked Run Valley; the Old Carolina Road along Rt 15; and Quaker Sites in Loudoun County. Available for purchase are 4 Civil War audio tours: Prelude to Gettysburg, the Cavalry Battles of Aldie, Middleburg, and Upperville, In the Wake of Anteitam, Mosby's 43rd Virginia Battalion, Part I and II. Our brochures can be found in area visitor centers. Audio tours can be purchased at the historic Rector House, a 19th century stone house, in Atoka, VA. The easiest and best way to find Atoka is to travel 4 miles west on John S. Mosby Highway, Rt 50, from Middleburg, VA.
