Founded in 1977 and located in the "Old Jail" building behind the Courthouse, the Powhatan Historical Society has a small museum dedicated to Powhatan history. By appointment only, we have tours and publications for anyone interested in learning more about Powhatan County. We also have a historic home tour every other year.
