The remains of one of the most famous ships in history, the Civil War ironclad USS Monitor, have a permanent home in the USS Monitor Center at The Mariners’ Museum. Visitors can be a part of the action in a high-technology battle theater, walk the deck of a full-scale Monitor replica, experience interactive exhibits, and see notable artifacts like the iconic rotating gun turret. Touted as one of America's Premier Civil War Attractions, the Wall Street Journal says, "It's an ironclad must-see."
