Jamestown Settlement, a museum of 17th-century Virginia, explores the world of America's first permanent English colony through gallery exhibits and outdoor re-creations of a Powhatan Indian village, three 1607 ships and a colonial fort. It is open year-round, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed on Christmas and New Year's days.
In addition to daytime touring, the museum features dramatic spaces for after-hours private events. The venue is perfect for receptions, special occasions, off-site conference events, reunions, weddings and holiday parties. Whether it's an evening reception in the rotunda, dinner in the re-created 1610-14 fort, cocktails on the ships' pier overlooking the James River, or an event for up to 4,000 guests using the entire museum, Jamestown Settlement offers unique settings and experiences for a memorable and successful event.
