Pocahontas State Park, which has several meeting spaces for rent, is well-suited for team-building events. The Heritage Center accommodates up to 120 and is next to an amphitheater that holds up to 4,000. The Powhatan and Swift Creek Dining Halls, historic structures built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, have commercial grade kitchen equipment and cozy fireplaces. Each hall holds up to 125. Those interested in environmental education would enjoy the rustic, wooded Algonquian Ecology Camp or Swift Creek Camp, each of which can accommodate up to 28. Plus, Pocahontas State Park has almost 8,000 acres of land, a multitude of hiking and biking trails, camping, fishing, pool swimming and boat rentals in season.
