Ambassador and Mrs. Rice donated the property to the Science Museum of Virginia in 1996. The house was designed by Richard Neutra, viewed by many as one of the 20th century's most influential architects. The house is recognized as a peerless example of modernist architecture integrated into the natural environment. The property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is a spectacular location for weddings, corporate events, private parties meetings and retreats.
