The historical Rixey Manor was built in 1801 by Charles Rixey and remained in the Rixey family for the next 200 years. The history of the family is amazing, and much of the original house is the same as it was through the Civil War. It is in the process of been refurbished as a Bed and Breakfast and exculsive use wedding venue.
The venue has an open top roof deck with panoramic views of the sunset behind the Blue Ridge Mountain where you can choose to get married, or if you prefer, the view from the front of the house overlooks a beautiful lake. Inside the banquet room are 9ft ceilings, chandeliers and floor to ceiling windows.
As well as four beautiful bedrooms, with en-suite bathrooms, guest will have access to our library, sitting-room and dining room (which seats 16).
