From humble beginnings at her birthplace and childhood home in Wytheville, Va , Edith Bolling grew up to become one of the most influentional, popular, and politically significant women of the twentieth century.
The Museum tells the story of a Pocahontas descendant who did more than just marry Woodrow Wilson, the 28th President of the United States. Visit us to learn more about the extraordinary life of Mrs. Wilson before, during and after her husband's presidency. When a stroke left the President incapacitated, she helped shield him from Congress and the public. Because of her extensive involvement during this time, she has been referred to by historians as "THe First Woman President". Visit the Edith Bolling Wilson Birthplace Museum to discover how she was indeed a woman of all times.
