Step into the Court Room Gallery where you are greeted by a timeline of Lynchburg and Central Virginia history from 1607 - 2007. Meet some of Lynchburg's famous with our Faces media program, enjoy historic sites around town through our Places media program, and move through the growth of Lynchburg through our Maps media program. Art & Artisans will be the next gallery to visit with the silver, furniture and guns made in Lynchburg, paintings by Lynchburgers or of Lynchburgers, and more. Piedmont Pride will take you through the wars Lynchburgers served in to protect our freedoms. Lynchburg Life will walk you through the businesses, education, entertainment, sports and more that make Lynchburg unique! Finally, An Ornament on the Hill will enlighten you to the history of the Old Court House from completion in 1855 until the most recent restoration in the 2000s. Experience The James: Lynchburg's Pathway to the World now occupies our basement and Gifford Galleries! We are looking forward to your visit!



Admission Fee: Adults $6, Seniors over 60 $5, College Students $4, Kids ages 6-17 $3, Under 6 is Free (Joint Tickets are available for Point of Honor)
