Designated as "America's National Maritime Museum," The Mariners’ Museum illustrates the spirit of seafaring adventure through a diverse collection of rare figureheads, handcrafted ship models, paintings, and more.
Visit the award winning USS Monitor Center, where visitors can be part of the action in the high-definition battle theater, walk a full-scale Monitor replica, view interactive exhibits, and see notable artifacts, like the gun turret, as they undergo conservation.
Hours Wednesday – Saturday: 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.
Sunday: Noon to 5 P.M.
Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The Museum will be open on Mondays that coincide with federal holidays.
