Nature Zone is Lynchburg Parks & Recreation's nature center where kids connect to nature! Nature Zone offers environmental education programs for children, families, scouts, civic organizations, teachers and general public. We provide both on-site and outreach programs with classes, tours and live animal exhibits, family activities, and volunteer opportunities.
The Nature Zone opened its doors at the historic Kemper
Street Station in 2006 as Lynchburg’s first nature center.
The center is operated year round by a small professional
staff and many dedicated volunteers. Hours of operation varies and is best to call ahead. It is FREE to the public.
