The Appomattox Court House National Historical Park commemorates the heroic acts which took place in April of 1865 in this, the original village, to bring about the end of the Civil War. The walking tour includes all buildings original to the site, and have been restored to their original condition. The highlight of the Park is the McLean House where Generals Lee and Grant crafted and signed the terms of surrender, ending the bloddiest chapter of U.S. history.

Entrance fee is seasonal, based on services offered. Memorial Day-Labor Day, the Park offers a full schedule for $4/person; $10 max/vehicle. No charge for 15 and younger. Off season, only A/V programs, McLean House tours, and self-guided walks are available for $3/person; $5 max/vehicle. Pets must be on a leash. Picnicking permitted in designated areas.

Admission Fee: $3-$4/person
