Deane Beman and Bobby Weed present Cannon Ridge Golf Club at Celebrate Virginia, which opened in 2003. With rolling farmland, bluffs, ravines, and woodland terrain, the design team of Beman and Weed have built a magnificent test of golf in Historic Stafford County. Although this course has been ranked the second toughest public course in the state of VA, the par-71 layout measuring 7,010 yards from the the championship tees has 5 sets of tee boxes, making the course playable for golfers of all skill levels. The greens, tees and fairways are Bent grass while the roughs are a combination of Kentucky bluegrass and Fine Fescue. Small greens and deep ravines accent this spectacular layout. Cannon Ridge is named for its historic ground - a site on which the Union Army positioned its cannons for the Battle of Fredericksburg in 1862.
