Deer Island Park is located at Philpott Lake and is ONLY ACCESSIBLE BY BOAT. Camping is on a first come first serve basis at sites 1 thru 21. Campers must obtain a permit from the gatehouse at Salthouse Branch or Bowens Creek. During the off season (November 1st to March 31st) permits may be obtained at honor vaults located at Ramp 1 and Goose Point Entrance. Each site has a maximum occupancy of 6 people. The exception is a core family of two parents with four or more children. The maximum number of tents per site is 2. No alcoholic beverages or firearms are permitted.
