Also known as the Rappahanock River Valley Wildlife Refuge (Tayloe unit). The land was part of the Mount Airy - Tayloe Plantation and will continue to be a farm in addition to offering nature trails, exhibits and displays. There are views of Cat Point Creek and the wetlands of the Rappahannock River tidal area. Expect to see Bald Eagles, River Otter, Muskrat, Canada Geese and Mallard Ducks. The only system of Federal lands devoted specifically to wildlife, the National Wildlife Refuge System is a network of diverse and strategically located habitats.
