Ride Virginia's newest and most exciting trail destination! The Mountain View “Off Highway Vehicle” (OHV) system is a multi-use trail system primarily designed for ATVs and Side by Sides. The 60+ miles of picturesque trails begin in the “ATV Friendly” town of St. Paul where riders have access to a vast selection of lodging, shopping, and dining offerings.
The trail system offers a mix of green and blue trails for riders wishing a more easy going experience. Mountain View also offers experienced riders a heart-pounding assortment of black trails for hard core ATVers.
Phase two of the Mountain View system will connect to the Dante trailhead with access to proposed hiking and equestrian trails. Phase three will connect with Coeburn, giving the Mountain View System 250+ miles of trail.
The Mountain System spans three counties near the town of St. Paul.
- Pocahontas – Pocahontas (Tazewell County) – 2014. North of Pocahontas, accessible from town and Boissevain Park.
- Buchanan-Dickenson Trail System – (Buchanan & Dickenson Counties) – 2014.
- Leeman Field System – Pennington Gap (Lee County) – 2014.
- Scott County Equestrian Trail – (Scott County, VA) – 2014.
This trail system is "multi-use" and open to dirt bikes, but horses are not allowed.
Admission Fee: $50 annual trail permit
