The Garden Club of Virginia is responsible for organizing the annual Historic Garden Week in Virginia, America's oldest and largest house and garden tour program.
The week-long event in late April includes more than 30 separate tours on different days of the week from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Chesapeake Bay. More than 250 of the state's finest private homes and gardens and historic landmarks are open at the peak of Virginia's springtime beauty. Events feature outstanding architecture, interior decor, garden design and renovation.
Proceeds benefit the restoration of historic public gardens throughout the Commonwealth. For information about Historic Garden Week and the Garden Club of Virginia, please log on to www.VAGardenweek.org or www.GCVirginia.org.
