The Virginia Capital Trail is a multi-use paved trail connecting Jamestown and Williamsburg to Richmond along Scenic Route 5.
There are four open sections of the Trail:
-Richmond Riverfront – .5 mile
Parking at Shiplock Park along Dock Street.
-Charles City Courthouse, 7.5 miles
Parking at Visitors Center.
-Chickahominy Riverfront, 5 miles
Parking at Chickahominy Riverfront Park or Jamestown High.
-Greensprings, 2 miles
Parking at Jamestown Settlement. Trailhead across Rt. 39.
ADA compatible with interpretive signage and amenities to accommodate users of all ages and abilities.
The Virginia Capital Trail spans 400 years of history that shaped America. From the first English settlement at Jamestown, to Colonial Williamsburg and the Revolution, to the National Battlefields of Charles City and Henrico Counties.
