With breathtaking views and pristine grounds, a 4,000-seat coliseum, 8 barns to accommodate 1,200 horses, 18 show rings, 2 large indoor arenas, internationally rated cross-country jumping and combined carriage driving courses, the 600-acre Virginia Horse Center in Lexington is the crown jewel of the Commonwealth’s equine industry. The internationally renowned center serves as a venue for more than 80 events a year including horse shows, rodeos, dog shows, BMX racing and the Rockbridge Regional Fair. Visitors are encouraged to attend the many shows and events scheduled throughout the year. Admission to 95% of events is FREE for spectators.
