Milepost 29 on the Blue Ridge Parkway is Whetstone Ridge Visitor Center. Whetstone Ridge Trail, a 12 mile US Forest Service managed trail, starts at the visitor center and runs directly along the spine of the ridge for 8 miles of breathtaking views.
