Michie Tavern ca. 1784 announces its popular summer package to provide Affordable Family Fun! Beginning June 1 children (ages 6-11) will receive a $4.00 discount on the lunch buffet with each paying adult. Children 5 and under enjoy the buffet for free. Coupons are required and may be obtained from Michie Tavern's website www.michietavern.com.

To add to the family fun experience, Michie Tavern features continuous, self-guided tours where families may explore every nook and cranny of the 18th century Tavern. Children are invited to dress in period attire. This educational child-friendly tour features a Treasure Hunt. Children will also receive a special voucher for an old-fashioned candy stick in the General Store.

Michie Tavern is located 1/4 mile from Jefferson's Monticello at 683 Thomas Jefferson Parkway. The Tavern is open 9 to 5 daily, serving lunch buffet from 11:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tours are continuous from 9 to 5. The Affordable Family Fun promotion begins June 1 and continues through September 2, 2013.
