Afton Cottage was built in 1996. The design was inspired by a Japanese farm house. It has 2 bedrooms: one with a queen bed and the other with 2 single beds. There is one bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped and offers everything but the food. You will find Calphalon cookware and Sabatier knives.
The cottage is 20 miles west of Charlottesville, home of the University of Virginia and Monticello. It is 25 minutes from Wintergreen, which offers golf, and skiing. Staunton is renowned for its Victorian architecture. It is 25 minutes west. In Staunton you will find The Museum of American Frontier Culture, birthplace of Woodrow Wilson, and Blackfriar's Playhouse, in addition to excellent restaurants and numerous other cultural and sightseeing opportunities. Shenandoah National Park and the Appalachian Trail are only 15 minutes away.
