Built in the early 1900's, the original house had a colorful role in the life of the city at the turn of the century. Local historians report that the house was used to accommodate the families of surfmen stationed at the US Coast Guard Station for the summer holidays. Several years after the station closed, the "real" Angie bought the place and operated it as a rooming house. In 1978 the Yates family acquired the home and created quaint lodging in the main house.
Angie's Guest Cottage offers beautiful lodging units, one bedroom units and efficiencies, all with private baths. It is also a HI-USA Hostel. Located one block from the beach, it is nearby many local attractions and events and is within walking distance to "Beach Street" entertainment, shops, museums, restaurants, nightclubs and boardwalk events.
