The Channel Bass Inn was originally built as a private home in 1892. This grand old 6,800 sq. ft. house stands amid gorgeous perennial gardens on this beautiful Island of Chincoteague on Virginia's Eastern Shore. The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable, each with its own sitting area and private bathroom. Children are welcome, with well-behaved parents! Your well-behaved family pet is also welcome! A full, delicious breakfast is included. Afternoon tea is served most days; Inn guests enjoy a special rate. The Tea Room is also open to the public. Even if you're not staying at the Inn, you may still enjoy a delicious English afternoon tea, featuring Barbara's "world-famous" scones. Other treats may include tea sandwiches, cheese scones, Victoria sponge cake, chocolate trifle or stuffed monkeys.
