Whether you are looking for a relaxing weekend getaway or an active tennis or outdoor adventure, the Crossed Racquets Inn offers an elegant intimate setting where guests feel like they're visiting family in the country.

Tucked into the beautiful Northern Shenandoah Valley, our inn is located in quaint historic Millwood. Antique shops, the 1785 Burwell-Morgan Mill, and our local gourmet and wine market, Locke Modern Country Store, are just down the street. Nearby are vineyards, antique shops, Civil War battlefields, restaurants, historic home & museum tours, foxhunting, equestrian activities, and the 700-acre State Arboretum, as well as opportunties for hiking, biking, golf, and tennis. Historic towns like Middleburg, Upperville, and Winchester are only about 20 minutes away.

Our unique niche is our tennis programming. Dr. Tim Harvey, Co-Proprietor & Tennis Professional, offers seasonal weekend clinics, lessons, strategy sessions, &  Sport Psychology Consultations on nearby outdoor courts.

At the edge of the Blue Ridge in the heart of Virginia Horse Country, we are about 75-minutes from the Washington Beltway, about two hours from Richmond, and only 45-minutes from Dulles Airport. Spacious and cheerful, our restored Colonial Revival home is surrounded by stone walls and gardens and offers three  inviting guest rooms.
