Edmont is a Colonial Revival home located on a hilltop offering wonderful views of the Rappahannock River Valley. Just outside of the historic town of Port Royal, you can drive to many attractions and activities, as well as take a walking tour of the Colonial port town of Port Royal.
Edmont was built by Phyllis’s parents, Edith and Edward Gouldman in 1976. The land parcel is known as Catlett’s Mill and was part of the land tracts belonging to the Catlett family from the 17th century.
The family purchased the property in 1919 from descendants of the Catlett’s. Campsites dotted the rolling hills overlooking the valley during the Civil War. Today you can often see deer grazing on the hillside from the kitchen windows.
