HartPath offers year-round campsites to hikers, artists, nature lovers, spiritual seekers, and other like-minded folk, as well as a private bedroom with gracious bath in our 135 year old main house presently being slowly renovated-- perfect for someone on a personal retreat or who simply wants to be in a beautiful, quiet location for any reason. The land comprises fifty acres of mostly hardwood forest with walking trails throughout; large sunny meadows with 2 acre pond great for swimming and bird-watching and island perfect for camping; numerous rocky creeks including the south fork of Elk Creek and one of southwest Virginia's grandest and most beautiful waterfalls. We are about a half hour drive from Grayson Highlands and the Appalachian Trail and provide shuttle service to hikers traveling the park areas. All campers have access to a house bath for showers and laundry; in-house guest(s) may share communal kitchen. Food requirements can be arranged. All potential visitors need to be comfortable with dogs and cats outdoors; have a deep respect for Nature, wildlife and other people; and honor the climate of serenity, conviviality, and peaceful cooperation maintained here. This is a magical spot; creative inquiries for other uses welcomed!
