Montvallee Motel is a privately owned and operated facility built in the mid-fifties. Each room is different and has its own personality. All rooms have private baths - the downstairs have showers while the upstairs have a tub and shower. There is ground floor entry for the first floor, and some rooms adjoin.

Satellite TV, cofeemakers and alarm clocks in each room. There is a pay phone available in the office and cellular service is available in the area. Computer access is available at the county library. There are pleasant lounging areas as well as a picnic area.

The motel is within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops. Monterey is a pleasant and safe place to walk with many older buildings of architectural interest.
