Bucolic Nomini Hall was an original land grant awarded in 1729 to the famous Carter family, the largest land owners in the colony. The now 70-acre private estate, with a spacious plantation house built in 1850 after the original structure burned, boasts tall windows, high ceilings, heart-of-pine floors and fireplaces in every room. This historic property with modern amenities is ideal for small celebrations, executive retreats, family vacations or hunting groups. Located on Nomini Creek in Westmoreland County in the Northern Neck of Virginia, the plantation, near Robert E. Lee's Stratford Hall and James Monroe's and George Washington's birthplaces, is also convenient to Washington, D.C., Fredericksburg, Richmond, Jamestown and Williamsburg. The Washingtons, the Lees, the Tubervilles and the Tayloes all dined at historic Nomini Hall, please join our legacy of honored visitors.
