The Shenandoah Chalet is centrally located next to the center section of Shenandoah National Park. This makes it an ideal "base camp" for exploring the park. It is only minutes away from numerous outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, fishing, golf, tennis, river rafting, swimming, horseback riding, and makes our chalet a dream getaway for families and couples alike. The chalet is about 100 miles from Washington DC, and about 100 miles from Richmond, Virginia. An easy drive on great roads. We are only 1 mile from hiking in Shenandoah National Park, 15 minutes to the nearest town, Elkton, and 25 minutes from Massanutten Ski Resort and Waterpark. Although it feels very isolated here, we are less than 15 minutes to Elkton and Shenandoah, where you will find stores, restaurants, a theater, bank, pharmacy, gas station etc.
