The old Jarrell family home place is a renovated 100 year old farm house. It accommodates up to 8 people & is suitable for farm stays, small events such as family holidays, small retreats, girls getaways, small weddings and reunions, etc, or long term seasonal stays. An additional cabin which sleeps 3 is also available. There is ample parking. Being centrally located between Charlottesville, Orange, Culpeper and Harrisonburg makes it ideal for day trips to regional attractions like Montpelier, Monticello, colleges, Massenutten skiing and water park, the Greene Hills Golf Course, and a plethora of wineries, the star of which is the Early Mountain Vineyard (only 2.5 mi. away), as well as fine dining. Go birding, fishing, walking on site. Pick fresh vegetables from the garden. Watch small subsistence farming in action. Situated near the Rapidan Wildlife Management area, check station, sporting goods supply, and processor makes it a perfect (more spartan) hunters' hostel during fall & winter. Neighboring Shenandoah National Park offers hiking, horse back riding, birding, etc. Available for seasonal rental by individuals, groups, churches, clubs, etc. It is great for a simple and relaxing, no fuss, getaway. Bring the kids and learn about modern rural living and more. Workshops available.
