Twin Lakes State Park, centrally located in Virginia's Piedmont region, provides visitors from around the country with a variety of lakefront activities in a secluded setting. Swimming, camping, fishing, canoeing and hiking are popular activities.
The park has one four-bedroom lodge and seven two-bedroom cabins, three of which have a view of the lake. Check-in is 3 p.m., check-out is at 10 a.m. The cabins are climate-controlled but have no dishwasher, TV, phone or laundry facilities. From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, cabins are rented by the week. Otherwise, a two-night minimum stay is required.
