The Catawba Valley Farmers Market is open Thursdays from 3:30 to 7:00 PM during the months of May through September. We are located at the Catawba Community Center off Rt. 311 near The Homeplace Restaurant, in "downtown" Catawba. The Appalachian Trail is nearby.
Check out our great selection of fresh, locally-grown vegetables, herbs, honey, fruits, plants, pork & beef, eggs, jams, pickles, breads, and pastries. Local residents also offer a varied selection of handicrafts including gourd birdhouses, baskets, jewelry, wooden lamps & writing pens, pottery, locally produced cookbooks, barnwood-framed photography, candles, milk-based bath & beauty products, & notecards.
Music, cooking demos, & children's crafts are often featured. Our Facebook page gives weekly updates on foods & crafts available, special events, etc.
The Catawba Community Center is equipped with a picnic shelter with tables and a playground for the kids. The Farmers Market area & the Community Center (including restrooms) are handicap-accessible. Parking is free.
