Il Bastone Gourmet Foods is a family-owned vendor at the local Farmers Market in the city of Fairfax from May to October, also called the Saturday Farmers Market next to the Courthouse.
We specialize in hand-made Argentine Empanadas and fresh Chorizo, Chimichurri, Alfajores, and Dulce de Leche. Our sausages are made with all natural meats and local Virginia Malbec and Seyval wine from Bodega Bogati (Round Hill, VA). We also do full Argentine BBQ Asado catering for private events, wine tastings, horse show competitions, as well as for the Festival Argentino USA tango & food event every year, .
Pleast note: we do not have a store front for the public other than the hours of operation at the Farmers Market.
The Saturday Community Farmers' Market is located at West & Main Streets behind the Wells Fargo Bank and adjacent to the Historic Fairfax County Courthouse. The Community Farmers' Market, sponsored by the Downtown Fairfax Coalition, offers fresh and locally-grown produce, plants & flowers, meats, eggs, jams & jellies, baked goods, specialty foods, and local arts & crafts. Argentine chorizo is charcoal grilled on site every Saturday.
