Norfolk is one of the best kept secrets of the Mid-Atlantic offering a variety of chef-owned and operated restaurants! Whether your tastes crave traditional southern cooking or trendy Nuevo cuisine, Norfolk will treat you to a host of culinary delights.

Day One - Enjoy a guided walking tour of the Freemason District and experience historical and cultural architecture at its finest. Explore the Hermitage Museum and Gardens which consist of an early 20th century historic home museum with a world-wide art collection and contemporary exhibition galleries. Then spend the afternoon learning how to grow herbs right in your own garden by taking a class at the Norfolk Botanical Garden, “Cooking with Herbs”, then delight in a boat or tram tour through 20+ theme gardens. End your day with dinner at Todd Jurich's Bistro and enjoy five-star cuisine and world-class wines in a relaxed atmosphere along with flavorful prepared dishes.

Ghent is filled with antique shops that offer something for everyone. Delight in a guided tour of Rowena’s Tea Room factory and Gift Shop. Be sure to sample the fabulous treats offered throughout the store. End the afternoon with a famous ice cream cone from Doumar’s Restaurant where Abe Doumar invented the ice cream cone. Spend the evening on a food tour of Granby Street or Historic Ghent. Experience four to five of Norfolk's resturants sampling and eating local cuisine along the way.
