Day One
Arrive in Hagerstown, MD for a guided walking tour of the city and a visit to Antietam Battlefield before heading to the Shenandoah Valley.
Day Two
After breakfast, enjoy a guided walking tour of Winchester, VA – this city changed hands over 70 times during the Civil War. Included are a tour of General “Stonewall” Jackson’s Headquarters and the Civil War Court House Museum. This afternoon visit Harper’s Ferry, WV – strategic and historic site at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers.
Day Three
Check out of the hotel this morning after breakfast and depart to Manassas National Battlefield Park. Visit Civil War sites in Manassas and this evening enjoy an Exclusive Blue & Gray Ball event complete with period musicians, dancing, a Civil-War-era inspired menu and beautiful decorations.
Day Four
Our final touring day will be spent at the reenactment of the Battle of First Manassas - featuring historically accurate battle reenactments, displays and exhibits, artillery firing demonstrations, lectures, book signing, a sutler’s row, living history vignettes, and children’s activities.
