Enjoy a ride on the Big Walker Scenic Mountain Byway to the Big Walker Lookout and Country Store to see a bird's eye view of the Blue Ridge and Alleghany Mountains. Ride the Virginia byway to the Burkes Garden, Virginia's highest valley and largest rural historic district, where century old farmsteads dot the agricultural landscape and beautiful scenery are abundant.

Day Three:

Spend the day at Burke's Garden. Sometimes referred to as "God's Thumbprint" because of its view from the air, this mountain-ringed bowl is 10 miles in diameter and filled with some of the most fertile farmland in the state. Buy baked goods and vegetables, bike on area roads, hike and hunt in nearby Jefferson National Forest.

Dine at the newly opened Fisher & Company restaurant. Located in the 1907 Pisgah Store across the road from Historic Crab Orchard Museum, Fisher & Company serves BBQ, home baked pies, cakes and sweets - country food you will love.
