Visit Loudoun

Loudoun is DC’s Wine Country®. Only 25 miles from Washington, DC, Loudoun has matured into a true culinary destination. The culinary story of Loudoun includes a thriving wine industry, an emerging craft brewery scene, and foods from farms that have been producing for generations. To make your experience as effortless as possible, we have grouped Loudoun’s 39 wineries and tasting rooms into six driving “clusters.” Each drive is an experience in itself, along winding roads and up mountainsides, past horse farms and historic estates, and beside miles of stacked stone fences. Our diverse mix of culinary delights is as eclectic as the restaurants that serve them.

Day One: The Loudoun Heights Cluster: Doukénie Winery, Hillsborough Vineyard and Breaux Vineyards

Dining Recommendations: Stoneybrook Farm and Grandale Restaurant  (Destination Restaurant)

Day Two: The Waterford Cluster: Hiddencroft Vineyards, 8 Chains North and Sunset Hills Vineyard

Dining Recommendations: Market Table Bistro and Magnolias at the Mill (Both Destination Restaurants)

Day Three: The Potomac Cluster: Fabbioli Cellars, Lost Creek Vineyard & Winery and Tarara Winery

Dining Recommendations:  The Restaurant at Patowmack Farm (Destination Restaurant), Vintage 50 Restaurant & Brew Lounge and Tuscarora Mill Restaurant (Destination Restaurant)

More Than Wine:  Corcoran Brewing Company, Lost Rhino Brewery and Catoctin Creek Distilling Company and several new craft breweries are planned to open within the year.
