Fredericksburg Student Tour - Civil War
Retrace the history of the Civil War at four battlefields: Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, the Wilderness and Spotsylvania Court House. It takes a full day to see all four battlefields. Step-on guide service is suggested for an additional fee.
Tour includes:
Fredericksburg Battlefield Visitor Center including the Sunken Road and the Kirkland Monument.
Chatham Manor - Union headquarters during the Civil War.
Chancellorsville Battlefied Visitor Center - Scene of the accidental wounding of "Stonewall" Jackson.
As time permits students may tour the Wilderness Battlefield where Grant and Lee first met and Spotsylvania Court House where fighting lasted for two weeks, incurring 30,000 casualties. Also see "Bloody Angle" where soldiers engaged in hand-to-hand combat for 20 hours.
