Student groups age six through high school can, with advance notice, enjoy customized tours at Fredericksburg's historic sites. Hands-on and interactive programs are available at: Hugh Mercer Apothecary Shop which presents a vivid interpretation of 18th and 19th century medicines and surgical procedures, including live leeches. Rising Sun Tavern presents a lively interpretation from the tavern wench, an indentured servant.
