They've done it! Our beloved Washington Nationals have clinched a playoff berth, and baseball fans just like you will be visiting the D.C. area to catch a game at Nationals Park. While you're in town, take a quick Metro ride from the park and check out some of these Arlington must-see-spots for sports fans:
Carpool is the spot for sports fans with some Natitude in Ballston. With 30 TVs, including two 120-inch big-screens and 23 plasma big-screens, you're guaranteed a good viewing point while you enjoy a beer, grab a bite to eat, and even try your hand at pool, Skee-Ball, shuffleboard, or darts while you watch.
In Crystal City, the Crystal City Sports Pub is a favorite for big games. There are more than 100 TVs in the 3-story venue, plus pool, foosball, Silver Strike bowling, OTB, and more. You're sure to run into fellow fans here!
Step away from the crowds at Nationals Stadium and grab a brew and burger while you watch the game at Capitol City Brewing Company in Shirlington, where you can mingle with fellow fans and try some local microbrews. (Note: if there are some in your group who, for some reason, aren't fans of the game, there's plenty of shopping just outside the doors.)
Need a teensy break from baseball? Check out the home of the Washington Capitals – right here in Arlington! The Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Ballston is the practice center for the Caps – and you can step in and watch the guys practice before home games during the NHL season.
And that's just the beginning! Arlington is a great spot for sports fans – during playoff season or anytime!
